Today we’re gonna talk about haters and how to deal with them. Not gonna spend too much time on this, because these kinds of people aren’t worth your time at all. People disagree sometimes, that’s natural. What I’m referring to here is more people who either consistently shut you down or have something negative to say about anything you might say or do. I’m a strong believer in live and let live. Meaning as long as someone’s behavior isn’t directly hurting themselves or others in a serious way, let them do what they want. Our country was founded on the notion of independence.

However if you’re an outspoken person who has a lot of energy, this might evoke a negative reaction from some people, even if you’re not directly interacting with them at all. Is it that they have some personal vendetta against you? Unless you’ve done something terrible to them, probably not. The problem stems more from themselves more than anything else. If someone is that miserable or insecure with themselves, they are very quick to look for faults in others, whether it’s there or not. If people are jealous of you maybe they’ll lash out. If they want to make excuses for their own lack of success, maybe they’ll blame you. Or maybe they’re bored and just want to stir up drama. The possibilities of why someone you barely even know might have something against you are endless. But here’s the thing; you barely know them. Who are they to you? Their opinion shouldn’t matter.

If someone is that hostile towards you when they barely actually know you, that says a lot more about their character while it does yours. So my advice in short, is to rise above it. Be the bigger person, the better man and beat them at their own game by not playing at all. If you have a strong magnetic personality and a good sense of humor, many people will be naturally be drawn to you.  At the same time, this may aggravate others with more introverted stick in the mud type personalities. Perhaps they’re mad you take attention away from them or that you refuse to conform to the status quo. The point is, your personality is what makes you unique and who you are. Be yourself and never apologize for it. Let the haters hate. That hate is only toxic to themselves, not you. Ignore those who blindly hate because that’s their issue not yours. Surround yourself with others who support you and boost you up. Never stop growing and spreading that positivity. And always be true to yourself, no matter what. Till next time,
